Q: I am attempting to use RideOFTR for the first time. How do I find my user name/email and password to use when I login?
A: This topic is covered in the RideOFTR getting started instructions and video provided in the links above and in the OFTR membership sign-up page, social media postings, and newsletters. Please read the instructions or watch the video and email us back with the specifics of any problems you are having that are not covered in this FAQ.
Q: I have followed the instructions in the links above to request a password reset email, but no email ever arrives in my inbox. How can I get my password set?
A: First, make sure you are using the same email address you used when you signed up with the OFTR for your annual membership this year, check your spam folder, and add support@rideoftr.ca to your list of "safe senders" in your email system. If you have done all of those, please email to support@rideoftr.ca requesting us to perform a manual password reset.
Q: Why can I use my Google ID to login to the RideOFTR web but not RideOFTR mobile iPhone or Android apps.
A: Google login only works for RideOFTR web at this time and is not yet supported for the RideOFTR mobile app. You must set a RideOFTR specific password using the getting started instructions above using the same Gmail email you have been using. Since you have logged in recently will first need to clear your browser cache, or use incognito mode, or use a different browser and then navigate to https://oftr.evtrails.com/app.html to initiate a reset password request.
Q: After attempting to login using my Google email ID, I am being redirected back to the OFTR membership sign-up page. Why can't I see the maps?
A: You are likely using a different email address than the one you used when registering with the OFTR. You must use the same email address you used when you signed up for your membership this year. You will need to clear your browser's cache in order to force the login page to be shown. If you are unsure what email address you used, please send an email to support@rideoftr.ca requesting us to lookup your account.
